Our Matakitaki Room has a wonderful view over the garden and out to sea. It's name is moari for «to watch or view», it is an ideal room to do exactly that, watch the boats passing, Robert in the garden, the goats playing. And relax.

Pick
an apple or fig as you pass along the path on your way out from the Matakitaki room in the cottage.
Living / dining room
The
lounge dining room has a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities. Glorious view from the dining table and sofa. Music to listen to and books to
read.
Sleeping room
The
Matakitaki room has two very comfortable single beds side by side. The beds are made in NZ, by Restwood Beds, feather pillows
and duvets with cotton sheets, imported from Switzerland, all assure a restful sleep.
Terrace
The
terrace is overlooking the garden, sea and bush. Ideal for relaxing with a good book.Or watching the world go by ...
Bathroom
The
Matakitaki room has it's own bathroom with a spacious shower. The hairdryer is in the cupboard. A night light for your convenience.
Hot water bottles for the winter nights if needed.

Is that the top of the penisula over there?
No that's further up. That's Tuateawa where the houses are. Kennedy Bay is this side of that. The highest point is Mt Moehau.
